    Fight Back (USA)

    Based in the deprived South Bronx, Fight Back, run by The Mary Mitchell centre, is a jujitsu programme working to engage young people in the pursuit of these goals. Fight Back helps women at risk of abuse. The jiujitsu plays an important part in building self-respect, which is vital if they are going to improve their lives.

    The project also uses jiujitsu to keep kids out of gangs and offers them positive sporting alternatives. 

    Indigo Youth Movement (South Africa)

    The Indigo Youth Movement is the brainchild of Dallas Oberholzer, whose exposure to international skating competitions inspired him to create opportunities for young people to learn about skateboarding. Established in the heart of Isithumba, a rural Zulu village on the outskirt of Durban, the Project has introduced young people to skateboarding and created an opportunity to enhance tourism and entrepreneurialism a well as increasing the youngsters’ life skills and self-confidence. 

    KICK on Ice

    Ice hockey instead of no perspective. Since 2003 Berlin's Laureus Sport for Good Project KICK on Ice offers an alternative to violence, drugs and crime. On various and numerous ice sport locations and especially during the evening time, ice hockey training

    Laureus Sport for Good Stiftung

    The project Laureus Snowtigers is aimed at kids and young people with a disability. The aim is to enable the kids to access winter sports activities, which are usually very difficult for them to engage in. But as well as allowing the kids and young people with mental and physical disabilities to enjoy an active lifestyle which benefits their health, the aim is also to teach them about important values such as self-confidence and team spirit.
